Sat or Satyaṁ (सत्य) (truth) indicates to the reality itself Ṛta (or written as Rita) (ॠत) points to the principle, order, dynamic truth or dynamism of the truth. Knowledge of this Ṛta and Satya is provided by the compilation called Ṛtambharā (Ṛtaṁ Bharati iti Ṛtambharā).
In ṛitambhara tatra prajñā (Yoga Sūtra1.48) it is described that a state of mind can be obtained at a stage of meditative practices, where one may have the highest knowledge. It may be knowledge of Satya and Ṛta, and that also about the higher order of reality, as described in Yoga Sūtra 1.49. It is because, at that state of mind no sense can operate, no categories of mind can any more produce distorting thoughts, and therefore it is may not be of any ordinary subject matter of senses and mind. It then is then the knowledge of the highest Reality. Vyāsa explains, not even an iota of falsehood or mistake can remain therein. (Na cha tatra viparyāsajñānagandho’pi asti it) Such knowledge and generation of such state of mind is the aim of the magazine, Rtambharā.
As a small step towards the divine knowledge and generation of a state of mind where non-sensory, non-mental knowledge can be gained, the articles are invited and published in this volume.
